Liu Yiming was a master Taoist priest of Longmen Taoisml,Quanzhen Sect and a famous Inner-Alchemicalist during the period between the Qianlong and Jiaqing in Qing dynasty,who made an important contribution to the development of Taoist in the northwest region.Moreover,he was one of the most prestigious and powerful taoist of the Quanzhen Sect in the entire Qing dynasty.He had a lot of remarkable works,including the fields about Zhouyi,Medicine and Inner-Alchemy.Liu used to be sick and found that what he once got it could not explain the truth of life.Then he met a teacher who enlightened him that the path to get the truth of life is researching the minds and bodies completely.The matter of life is the principle which runs through Taoism all,and also run through Liu's life philosophy,which enlightened his thinking about the ontology theory of life,the essence theory of life and the theory of life value.Besides,he also thought about a series problems such as building the structure of his own Inner-Alchemical theory,the path about practicing to attach it and so on.On the way to explain the matters of life,he quoted the Zhouyi,and further more he reformed the traditional inner-alchemical theory of taoism,blending it with the theory of Ju school and buddhism,which enriched the traditional taoism and built up the life philosophy ideological system under the field of vision and the character of Zhouyi.Liu inherited the cosmology of Laozi's 'the tao gave birth to all things',and combined the thought of `At the first there is the great ultimate.That is what generates the two modes-yin and yang.The two basic modes generate the four basic images.The four basic images generate the eight trigrams.The eight trigrams determine good fortune and misfortune.Good fortune and misfortune generate the great enterprise',which from the commentary on the appended phrases.He put forward that the great ultimate of congenital is the real whole energy,the ancestor and fundamentality.Because of the great ultimate,there are yin and yang firstly.Secondly,there are four basic images.Thirdly,there are eight trigrams and then sixty-four hexagrams and all things in the world were generated,which all constituted the the ontology theory of life under the field of vision of Zhouyi.People are endowed with the Chi of yin yang and five elements.So,people have their life and relevant moralities.It was fundamentally solved the problem where did people come from.Based on it,Liu thought this Chi was congenital,and life was in moderation.Afterwards,life divided into the minds and bodies.In a sense,it seemed that the yin and yang played the roles.On the other hand,the minds and bodies or the truth and falsity were derived from the truth of yin and yang.However,people were always blind to the real minds and real bodies,but gone after the false minds and false bodies.Liu realized the essence of the life was that the real whole energy plays its roles.If the yin and yang was to be moderation by the mean and right way,people would not blind to the false life but the real life.However,the value of life was that to restore the primary heavenly principles by combining the yin and yang,restore the five elements,and keep the Chi of the vestibule,study the goodness day by day,and then become the immortal.Since got the truth of the life and the value of life,Liu encouraged people to try to make pills of immortality and cultivate vital energy in time.He put forward the principle that people should make use of the minds and bodies to restore the congenital real life and use the real life to defuse the minds and bodies.On the other hand,he put forward the way that people should set the life as the body and use yin and yang as function.Concretely,he put the image-numerology system of Zhouyi to support his theory,which combined his distinctive research about duration and degree of heating and medicine,to guide his practice of inner-alchemical.Meanwhile,he quoted the Yizhuan as his metaphysics to certify his morality and ethics,and encouraged people to cast their bread upon the waters and exact demands themselves.By both inside and outside works,Liu wants to get to the harmonious of yin and yang from which the real minds were blind with the false dominated.Further more,he wanted to get the real whole energy of congenital condition,which was a transcend to the life in the.present.This ideal realm was the return of the real life,and also the final goal of his life philosophy under the field of vision of Zhouyi.If it is all right,it will get the state that 'let it be what it would be.Sitting lying singing and reciting be free without consideration and hesitation.Like a pond deep water in dark green in the fall.Although,there is winds,there is no wave,do you have any troubles?'...
