Qingxu's Modern Society In Contract Document-a Survey Of Contract Document In D Village

As the private document that is widely used in China,contract truly shows the life of traditional society.It is the precious literature to investigate the Chinese society and economy.To do this research the author had collected 93 contracts from D village in Qingxu County,Shanxi Province.These contracts,which start from 1805 to 1937,touch upon many aspects such as estate transactions,kinship,and economic mobility,and so on.The contracts have strong regionalism,full variety and a large number of authentic materials,which can reflect local characteristics and social change in Qingxu County,have great research value.In this thesis,the author will study contracts in D village,Qingxu County,Shanxi Province.It mainly concern about homestead contract and the separation of family possessions,from which to analyze the society of D village during the Republic of China era,and reflect the characteristics of modern Qingxu County.The introduction part presents the research purpose and significance of topic.This part introduces the literature review about research situation on contract document both at home and abroad.Besides,this part also represents the research approach and goals in research.The first part is an introduction of regional environment and contract document situation in D village.Firstly,describes the natural and social conditions.Secondly,briefly introduces the situation of collected contracts.The second part is a research on homestead contract document.At first,analyzes the contract formats of Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China era,which include the document forms,structures and types.Secondly,sets about collecting the genealogy of Wang's family.After arranging the objects that involved in Wang's transaction and records that reflect transaction contract,to show differences about homestead transaction objects between Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China era.Finally,collects the variety of monetary unit used in homestead contract to find out the means used in homestead transaction,that is,the change of currency,and the reason that causes this change.The third part is a research about the contract used for the separation of family.Separation of family is a common phenomenon in modern Qingxu County,and the division contracts become the important proof of this behavior.This part exposits the division process,reasons and influences by analyzing the division contracts.
