In the era of information, the way of translation has changed. And many new types of online translation models are piling up one after another, crowdsourcing is one of them.This report aims to discuss factors affecting the quality of online crowdsourcing translation, which in this case is the book, managed and translated by the author of this report, Japanese homes and its surroundings. The aim of this paper is to discuss how the manager of an online crowdsourcing project solves the issues of translation quality control. The overview of this translation project as well as the features of the materials related are introduced and analyzed in the very beginning; then, the description of the process of the project is the second part of this report; the focus of this report, which is the third part of this report, is to discuss the relations between every step of online crowdsourcing translation project and quality control methods that has been applied by the author. |
