The Analysis Of Translation Quality Control In Multilingual Translation Projects

In recent years,China and the world's exchanges have been increasing,and the foreign and domestic enterprises' demand for multilingual translation is soaring.The language service industry has entered an unprecedented stage of development.However,in the information area,small translation teams with full-time or part-time translators are no longer able to meet the needs of large-scale,multi-professional,multilingual translations.What's more,small translation teams lacking of experience in translation project management.Therefore,the advantages of medium and large translation companies in controlling translation quality through translation technology and tools have gradually emerged.Translation quality control is the heart of project management.Through scientific management methods,medium and large translation companies can make a reasonable project plan,which will maximize the internal and external resources utilization and improve translators' work efficiency and translation quality.Based on the internship experience,the author takes Mindray's multilingual translation project as an example to reproduce the management process of the manual translation project,which aims at improving the quality control level of the multilingual translation project.On the bases of looking up materials and consulting professionals,the author explores how to use scientific project management methods to improve translation quality from the three stages of pre-translation,translation,and post-translation.The report found that the reasonable use of translation technology and translation tools can improve translation quality in an effective way.In addition,the author proposes corresponding solutions to the translation quality problems(language,communication,management)during the project implementation process,and hopes to avoid such problems in the future project management process and improve the quality of translation.
