Topic Markers Of Shenmu Dialect

The research object of this article is topic markers in the dialect of Shenmu County. On the basis of a large number of dialect facts, this article mainly describes and analyzes the topic markers in detail from three parts. The article makes every effort to show the Shenmu dialect's topic markers system as a whole.Firstly, the article concretely introduces syntactic, semantic and discourse functions of ten single type topic markers such as the " lai "," qu "," hai "," shijia "and so on. Moreover, I have made a detailed analysis of each part in seven categories which is "X+" type of complex topic markers, such as "lai+" type's " lai shi "and " lai hai ", " qu+" type's " qu lai "and "qu ba", " shi jia+" type's " shi jia lai "and " shi jia hai "and so on. On the basis of detailed analysis which is about all topic markers of Shenmu dialect, this paper concluded that the topic markers in Shenmu dialect can not only be in the behind of the phrase of posture in the sentence, predicate composition, prepositional phrase, clause, and even can be in the behind of the adverbials as a topic marker, which is characteristic of its different from mandarin and other dialects.Secondly, in this paper, the Shenmu dialect topic markers of two kinds of special structure are analyzed, respectively is the copy type topic structure and connected structure of the topic markers. I Mainly analyze the semantic characteristics and pragmatic functions of eight categories copy type topic structure. Furthermore, three types of topic marker's connection are introduced. Respectively are the connection of two primary topic markers, two secondary topic markers and a topic marker of primary and secondary.Finally, I studied the source of some topic markers which are single type,respectively are "lai","qu","qi","hai".Represented by them, it is concluded that the topic markers in Shenmu dialect are mainly from "time markers","aspect markers", "modal particles at the end of the sentence" and "adverb".The conclusion of this paper is: Shenmu dialect's topic phenomenon is widely applied. It's a typical topic-prominent language.
