Shen yaochu who born in Zhaoan, Fujian,in twentieth century is the master of freehand brushwork in traditional Chinese painting. He is a artist growing with traditional art development but has his personally colors. The entry point of this paper is the themes of traditional Chinese painting. In addition, the majority object of this research is Shen's painting with homesick theme which has been classified different characters. There are four major thesis. Firstly, the classification of Shen's works. Secondly, the diversion of Shen's drawing styles and characters in different periods. Thirdly, the reasons which form Shen's hometown complex painting style. Lastly, the affection of Shen's works in Zhaoan, Fujian. The analytic methods is references and reading, citing and Shen's pictures appreciating. Further more, themes, composition of pictures, ink and colors are gist of classification of Shen's works. Analysis of Shen's painting style is a way to find and describe his unique aesthetic values. Then, the understanding of Shen's life experience in this paper is from references searching. It's helpful to discover factors that result in Shen's hometown complex painting style.
