Research Report On The Inheritor Training Mode Of Beijing Filigree Inlaid Metal Art

Filigree Inlaid Metal Art,also called “Fine Gold Art,is one of the eight traditional arts and crafts in Beijing.The filigree-inlay process originated from the Shang and Zhou Dynasties,flourished in the Han and Tang Dynasties and reached high level in the Ming Dynasty when many masterpieces were created and inherited.Following the Ming Dynasty,Filigree Inlaid Metal Art reached its peak in the Qing Dynasty,the art form had been developed by inheriting essential elements from the previous dynasties and adding new elements.Filigree Inlaid Metal Art has inherited the imperial art,with features of elegance,beauty,complexity and excellence,mainly including filigree,inlay,enameling and carving.Beijing filigree inlaid metal art,with a high level in design and technology,has high historical,artistic and scientific value.Filigree Inlaid Metal Art was included into the second batch of the National Intangible Cultural Heritage List in June 2008.At present,Beijing has 1 national representative inheritor of Intangible Cultural Heritage and 3 municipal representative inheritor of Intangible Cultural Heritage.The inheritor training mode of Filigree Inlaid Metal Art in Beijing includes apprenticeship,college education,vocational education and social education.This paper has done research on the above-mentioned training modes,exploring and analyzing the positive effects and problems of the inheritor training in actual practice,discussing on the improvement direction of the inheritor training,and putting forward related counterplan and suggestions.The inheritor training mode has its own features,however,the problems of the mode will have consistency with the traditional crafts in regional culture.Therefore,this paper is also expected to provide valuable reference for inheritor training of traditional crafts in Beijing.
