Ordinary Individuals In The Perspective Of Historical Materialism

Marx has two theoritial discoveries in his life:one is the Theory of Surplus Value,and the other is the Historical Materialism.The historical materialism is composed of the law of social history development and the view of mass history.The law of social history development is the theoretical core of historical materialism,while the view of mass history also plays an important role in historical materialism.Marx's social and historical development laws include the decisive role of economic base in social development and the inevitability of historical development.But these principles were constantly distorted by subsequent researchers and social practitioners continue to misinterpret.These are all attributed to the neglect of Marx's personal view.The first two chapters of this paper are intended to clarify that Marx's personal view is different not only from those of individuals who are influenced by the Enlightenment Movement and the classical economics——this kind of personal view is only confined to the natural state of the unqualified talent,but also from those of individuals who are influenced by the Hegelian tradition as well as the classical German philosophy——this personal view is only seen as a dialectical link,which need to be abandoned under the cunning ofreason.Therefore,this paper first discusses the four theoretical sources of Marx's personal view:Humanism advocated by the Enlightenment Movement and the French Revolution,natural individuals in the classical political economy,self-consciousness of Hegel and youth Hegel school of thought and Feuerbach's humanism.These four parts of contents are not only arranged in time order,but also reflects the closeness of relationships in the theory with Marxism.Marx critically adopt these four personal thoughts,and based on this,he finally form his individual view of historical materialism.The second part of this article make an exploration on all aspects of Marx's personal view from the four perspectives:individuals in sensibility and reality,individuals in the production practice,individuals in the social relations,and individuals in the historical law.This exploration provides a theoretical basis for the rele of ordinary individuals in masses history view.In the theories of historical materialism,ordinary individuals are considered as an important category.But for a long time,the studies on ordinary individuals are far more than on the masses and outstanding figures."Ordinary individuals" seems to be a looming role in the social history.To understand the thoughts of historical materialism on the "ordinary individual" comprehensively and accurately.This thesis analyzes the historical role of ordinary,individuals from the third chapter on the basis of the first two chapters.First of all,it elaborates on the existing problems,that is,the misunderstanding on the historical role of ordinary individuals.For example,when it comes to "personal" people will think of extreme individualism,that ordinary individuals in social history only play like "screw" role,or that ordinary individuals are against the collectivism.Secondly,the relationship between ordinary people and the people is described.Besides,it discusses the relationship between ordinary individuals and eminent people.Finally,it explores the ordinary individuals played in history.That is,the ordinary individual is the creator of material wealth and spiritual wealth,ordinary individuals to a large extent determine the social outlook,ordinary personal norms of outstanding figures,ordinary individuals through hard work can become outstanding figures,the historical role of ordinary individuals will become bigger and bigger and so on.At the end of the article,the paper focuses on the practical significance of ordinary individuals in contemporary China.In the process of realizing the grand blueprint of the Chinese dream "two hundred years",we must give full play to the role of each Chinese people.Only by fully mobilizing each person's positivity and initiative to create history,can we form the greatest historical synergy to achieving the Chinese dream.Therefore,in the fourth chapter,the author discusses the living situation of current ordinary Chinese individuals,for example,the widening gap between the rich and the poor;the Internet has become a way of life to the contemporary Chinese people and so on.Secondly,the realization of the Chinese dream needs playing the role of every ordinary Chinese people.Only by linking the nation's vision to every ordinary Chinese people's vision,and achieving the harmonious resonance of the country's dream,national dream and personal dream,does the Chinese dream has the possibility of coming true.The last part of the article tries to discuss several ways to give full play to the historical role of ordinary individuals.
