With the competition in the market becomes increasingly fierce,the companies are attaching more and more attention to personal selection and training.Since McClelland proposed competence model,a growing number of companies begin to use it in the process of talent management.Based on a comprehensive literrature review and combined with the actual situation,the thesis discusses how the model is applied to the campus recruitment of X company.The study has three parts:First,it corrects the original model.It constructed the competence model of X company sales staff through literature analysis,job analysis and behavioral event interview(BEI).The results show that the model mainly includes 10 indicators :influence,the sense of responsibility,active,the efficient execution,flexible,execution,flexible,compression,active,the efficient execution,flexible,compression capability,customer orientation,problem solving ability and learning ability.Second,the model was used for recruitment.Based the model constructed in the study,it enrichs and completes the recruitment processes.It interviews the Management trainees through computer test,leader group discussion(LGD)and semi-structured interview.At the same time,it analysises the rater consistence of LGD and semi-structured interview.The campus recruitment based on the compentence model interviews 151 students and finally hires 67.Third,the validity of campus recruitment based on the competence model is proved.The study chooses the turnover in 3 months and half a year's performance of2015 annual sales Management trainees and 2016 annual salesManagement trainees as a reference standard,and then it examines the validity of campus recruitment based on the competence model.The result shows that the turnover of 2016 annual salesManagement trainees is significantly lower than 2015 annual sales Management trainees.It shows the recruitment based on the competence model is able to provide appropriate job target.But,there is no significant difference of performance between two years' Management trainees.This study applies competence model accurately to the companies' recruitment process,and offers some help for X companie's talent management.In the empirical study,it provides a reference value for more enterprises and related research.
