Moral Judgment is involved in bad moral actions. To boycot unhealthy practices and improve moral environment,it's important to explore the mechanism and underlying causes of moral judgment.Existing evidence indicates a positively correlation between moral judgment utilitarian and testosterone levels by drug manipulate. The levels of testosterone in the brain are regulated by the genes such as androgen receptor(AR)and aromatase gene(CYP19).However,it's still unclear to the mechanism of genes underpining moral judgment. To exploring the relationships,we conducted a behavioral-genomic study to examine relationship between the four functional polymorphisms and permissibility of moral dilemmas and transgression scenarios in a healthy college student population.Results:1.The rs700518 polymorphism of CYP19 showed significant effect on moral judgment permissibility of incidental dilemma(p = 0.043),with high expression of A allele relating to with lower moral permission. Moreover,AP(CAG)n polymorphism also exerted a significant effect on moral judgment permissibility of incidental dilemma(p = 0.014),instrumental dilemma(p = 0.017)and action condition(p = 0.004)in females. The SS genotype was related to higher moral permissibility than the LL genotype.By contrast, the significances in effects of SHBG rs727428 and SRD5A2 rs523349 were absent(ps>0.227).Additionally,we failed to detect the interaction between above genes to the permissibility of moral judgment.2.No significances in the results of CYP19 rs700518 impacting the stability of moral judgment were observed(ps>0.137).3.The rs700518 of CYP19 gene greatly effected moral judgment permissibility in bad intentions-bad outcomes(p = 0.041).Individuals with A allele reported lower moral permissibility. On the contrary, the rs727428 of SHBG gene greatly effected on moral permissibility in good intentions-bad outcomes(p = 0.003).Individuals with high expression of C allele showed lower moral permissibility.Simalaryly,AR(CAG)n polymorphism showed striking effect both on the permissibility of good intentions-good outcomes(p = 0.007)and good intentions-bad outcomes(p = 0.022).Indivudals with a great number of A alleles showed permissibility.Conclusion:1.CYP19 gene rs700518 roles in permissibility of moral dilemmas, but nort in moral judgment stability.2.AR(CAG)n polymorphism specifically impacts the permissibility of moral dilemmas and transgressions in females.3.Intention modulates the association of SHBG rs727428 with the permissibility of moral transgressions.4.SRD5A2 rs523349 had no significant effect on moral judgment.
