Diplomacy is an important part of ancient imperial China in its ruling details of t hose dynasties.As a lasting-ruling age connected with highly successful diplomatic a ctivities,Shang is an important dynasty in its 500 years during the pre-Qin period.The researches of history on diplomatic system of the Shang Dynasty have a great signific ance on the understanding of Shang Dynasty and their surrounding countries,the powe r of the state and the organization form even the ancient Chinese diplomatic system.This dissertation studied the diplomacy policies of Shang Dynasty in the perspective o f history,sociology and diplomacy,and then it summarized the the diplomatic system of Shang thoroughly,therefore ancient books,oracle bones and archaeological unearthe d materials are the basis foundation.The main researching parts are the geographic profiles of the Fangguo,diplomati c objects,the diplomatic decision-making and implementation,diplomatic institutions a nd facilities in Shang dynasty,the main form of the Shang Dynasty diplomacy.At the s ame time,this research confirmed the existence of the necessity of diplomacy during t he Shang Dynasty.And the transition from Fangguo league to Chinese feudalism.Final ly,according to the Shang Dynasty diplomacy pattern:alliance pilgrimage gunnar coronation marry and etiquette of diplomatic activities.This dissertation described the specific forms of the Shang Dynasty diplomatic s ystem,and then it made further efforts to a conclusion for the diplomacy system chara cteristics of Shang:Primitive,instability,and inequality.
