Objective:The name is the main reference imformation in the preliminary stage of interpersonal communication,affecting the formation of Interpersonal Initial Trust.Based on the existing research abroad,this study used the method of combined theory and empirical,to confirm the name effect on indigenous research by analysing data,and explore how the meaning,pronunciation of a name and whom it references to affect the Interpersonal Initial Trust.Method:This study consists of 2 preliminary experiment and 2 formal experiment.The preliminary experiment controlled the effect of gender and family name on interpersonal initial trust.The Formal Experiment 1 is within-subjects design,the name meanings as the independent variable,and the interpersonal initial trust as the dependent variable,and the score participants give as the dependent variable indicator.The Formal Experiment 2 is within-subjects design,3(name pronunciation:the name with the same pronunciation,the name with the same rhyme,the name with the different pronunciation)x 3(reference subject:the participants themselves,their intimate persons,strangers),the interpersonal initial trust as the dependent variable,and the money participants distributed as the dependent variable indicator.Results:(1)the main effect of gender was not significant,t=0.373,p>0.05.(2)the main effect of family name was significant,t=-2.86,p<0.01.(3)the main effect of name's meaning was significant,F(30,4)=32.69,p<0.01.(3)the main effect of name's pronunciation was significant,F(2,216)=29.68,p<0.001.(5)the main effect of name's referencing subject was significant,F(2,216)=28.4,p<0.01.(6)the name's pronunciation and the name's referencing subject interaction is significant F(2,4)=3.79,p<0.01.Conclusions:(1).In a strange communicative situation,peple with the same family name would initiate higher Interpersonal Initial Trust.(2).Names with a positive sense would initiate higher Interpersonal Initial Trust.(3).Names with family pronuciation would intiate higher Interpersonal Initial Trust.(4).The closer a name references to,the higher Interpersonal Initial Trust it would initiate.
