The Study Of Yishengzi In Shuowen Jiezi

Shuowen Jiezi written by Xu Shen(abbreviated as Shuowen),contains 9353Zhuanwen(??),which contains 224 Yishengzi(???)marked as"Yisheng"(??).Based on the double function of meaning and phonetic symbols,I contrast Yishengzi,associative compounds and phonograms,clearly that Yisheng radicals express surface meaning.There are two kinds of normalized ministry,184 Yishengzi into sentimental symbol,40 Yishengzi into Yisheng radicasl.The analysis of 40 Yishengzi can approve the scientific rationality of Yisheng radicals.The article consists of four parts.The introduction mainly introduces the research status,content,interest and innovation.There are some controversy such as the definition and scope of the Yishengzi,and Yisheng radicals.On the basis of previous studies,it's a comprehensive and systematic analysis of Yishengzi and Yisheng radicals in Shuowen to draw my opinion.The first chapter based on the double function of meaning and phonetic symbols,contrasts Yishengzi,associative compounds and phonograms,clearly that Yisheng radicals express surface meaning.Yishengzi are different from associative compounds and phonograms.We should distinguish Yishengzi and associative compounds from the double function of meaning and phonetic symbols of Yisheng radicals,distinguish Yishengzi and phonograms from the surface meaning of radicals,which expressed sememe and borrowed meaning are out of the Yishengzi.The second chapter focuses on the the relationship between Yisheng radicals and Yishengzi,carrying through a classification research of Yishengzi.There are altogether 113 Yishengzi added ideogram that Yisheng radical is enough to express meaning,Yisheng radicals as the parent word bear the semantic function of Yishengzi,Yishengzi made for strengthening or differentiating the parent word's meaning.There are altogether 86 Yishengzi assembled ideogram,each part building components is indispensable.The third chapter analyses the reason that 40 Yishengzi classified to the Yisheng radicals.There are three cases,to avoid free radical,to avoid another radical if the ideographic radical is not Shuowen radical,to belong to a radical with other words.This part also adds hidden Yisheng radicals to proof the existence of Yisheng radicals.
