The Textual Research Based On The Cognate Words Of The Pronunciation Materials Of "Shuowen Jiezi

Researchers in the past often focus on exploring word clan inside Shuowen Jiezi according to the glyphs of Chinese characters,in details their phonetical radicals.But the real word clan may get missed when they were not with the same phonetical radical,or sometimes the same phonetical radical do not surpose the same meaning so that they were also not clans.So we first focus on words,not just characters.We gathered those Shengxun(exegsis according to pronunciations)materials inside Shuowen Jiezi,then gathered the three elements of Chinese characters:glyph,pronunciation,and meaning.We found 120 word clans,and we tried to prove there are Shengxun among their main characters an target characters.Among those different main characters,we talked about their phonetical similarity.Those main characters with different phonetical radicals are often with small differences in their detailed means,but they share the same meaning.If theirs phonetical radicals are not the same,their sound are also not the same,often in their rimes.They change phonetical radicals according to sound change.But by all means they are still word clans.Also,we talked about the similarity among main characters and target characters,for example word relevance and glyphs relevance.We found that about 80%of Shengxun were made between higher relevance,this told us that Xushen would like to reveal that,word clans deriving for the same root word,are often associate with each other in both sound and glyph.The rest 20%ones are also obvious in glyph similarity but their sound has changed.In all,Xushen's revealed word clans systematically,when he began to write this book Shuowen Jiezi,he had got the conception of word clan.So he showed them in both sound and glyph on purpose.Then we can see word clans deriving from the same root word easily.This is called Youwenshuo in Song Dynasty,we proved that Youwenshuo really exist,and we discovered that even with the same phonetical radicals,they might belong to different word clans.
