On The Art Language Of Western Modern Naive Art Paintings

The Naive Art appears in the end of the 19 th century and the early 20 th century.The self-taught artists instinctively describe daily things with their extraordinary perspective.Their painting methods are explicit and direct.Compared to the traditional Academic Art,the Naive Art contains much more natural and naive emotion.The charm full of childish fun emanating from the paintings is peculiar.They are accepted by the modern and contemporary art field.These paintings infuse the art field with fresh blood.This thesis studies the unique art language of the Naive Art.It aims to expound the significance and importance of the Naive Art paintings to modern and contemporary art field.This thesis mainly includes three parts.Chapter One introduces the background information of the Naive Art and illustrates the childish fun and aesthetic value contained in the Naive Art paintings.Chapter Two analyses the unique art language of the Naive Art from the aspects of the plain modelling,the pure color and the surreal spatial imagination.The Naive Art describes the image freely and isn't restricted by the existing rules of art.The artists of the Naive Art ignore the unnecessary parts and detail.Their depiction is delicate but the brushwork is clumsy and obvious.They don't consider ray of the light and the propor color.It is completely subjective,painting language show the effect of plane decoration.They don't emphasize moulding the sense of volume.The extruded two-dimensional semi-space and the random things create a special and mysterious spatial sense.These proper features of art languages add distinctive charm to the Naive Art.Chapter Three concludes the influence of the unique art language of the Naive Art on contemporary art field.This part also presents what I have been enlightened during the process of my study.The Naive Art affects people through its subjective and instinctive way.Its art language is vital to paintings.It is hoped that this thesis can catch people's attention to the art language of the Naive Art.And after reading this thesis,people can think more about the Naive Art.
