Research On The Construction Of Slow City System Of Historical And Cultural Cities

In the context of rapid urbanization,the contradiction between the protection and development of historical and cultural cities in China is prominent.With cities' urban transformation into “new normal”,urban construction pays more attention to its quality with improving the human living environment as the core.Historical and cultural city should restore the old city of the original slow space,Retain its cultural,historical,aesthetic and technological value,While providing residents with high quality of life.Therefore,the advanced concept of the slow city movement for the historical and cultural city of the city put forward a new solution to the problem.Based on the analysis of the concept,connotation,requirement and case study of the slow city,this paper puts forward the idea of constructing slow city system in historical and cultural cities which focuses on shaping slow city space and advocating slow city life style.First of all,based on social background and contradiction of historical and cultural cities' protection project in China,the author analyzes the rise and development of the international slow city,brings in the concept of the slow city into historical city protection,and explores its relationship with historical city's protection in depth.Second,in the system construction,relevant law system and protection planning rules should be complied with the construction should follow up the protection system of historical and cultural city-historical and cultural blocks-cultural relics protection units.The construction scope of the slow city should be planed and designed,followed by levels of slow urban area-slow community-slow units.Thirdly,in view of the dilemma of historical and cultural city protection,slow city system construction content shall be thoughtful in considering of concept of slow city concept,slow city related research progress,slow city standard.The protectionshall be the precondition;slow traffic is the key;industrial development is the driving force;environmental facilities are the foundation.On this basis,five specific aspects are raised:history and culture,slow traffic,slow city industry,environmental facilities and the slow city service.Finally,with Baoding city as the studying object,the slow urban area of Baoding city,three slow blocks and a number of slow units was selected according to the classification criteria of the spatial classification of the slow city based on the theoretical research and field investigation,Baoding city's overview,the main historical and cultural relics and its problems.The three systems will be constructed with above five aspects in different spatial levels.
