Chinese bronzes are beautifully produced,enjoys a high reputation in the world,representing the development of superior technology of Chinese bronze and culture.After thousands of years lied deep in the earth,led to the complexity and diversity of the surrounding environment,making it subject to corrosion damage in varying degrees,so it is particularly important to develop corrosion research.In order to protect bronze relics from being corroded,it is essential to build a super hydrophobic film on the surface of it.Super hydrophobic film on the surface of the simulated rust bronze was constructed by direct immersion method with n-dodecyl mercaptan(CH3(CH2)10CH2SH)and myristic acid(C14H28O2)mixed solution as hydrophobic agent.By scanning electron microscope and contact angle measuring instrument,the characteristics and hydrophobicity of the super hydrophobic surface were analyzed and evaluated;Component analysis of the super hydrophobic surface by fourier transform infrared spectroscopy.And the corrosion resistance of the sample was analyzed by electrochemical workstation.The results showed that,after super-hydrophobic treatment,the contace angle of all type bronzes can achieve the basic requirements of superhydrophobic,reach 150°.Surface structure were further analyzed by scanning electron microscope,and to find that the surface of tested superhydrophobic bronze were constructed with a certain roughness surface,the structure may be trapped more air,increasing air contact with the liquid,thereby reducing the contact of the liquid with the surface of the sample.The evaluation of corrosion resistance of superhydrophobic bronze were tested by electrochemical characterization techniques,results show that the self-corrosion electrical current density had decreased while the corrosion electrical current potential corresponding increased,and corrosion rates were higher than 90%.In summary,the mixed solution of n-dodecyl mercaptan(CH3(CH2)10CH2SH)and myristic acid(C14H28O2)as hydrophobic agent can effectively form a protective film on different bronze,that can isolate the corrosive medium to improve its corrosion resistance.
