This is a translation project report of World Heritage and Tourism in a Changing Climate.The source text is an excerpt from World Heritage and Tourism in a Changing Climate,published by UNSCO in 2016.At many World Heritage sites,the direct and indirect impacts of climate change may present a threat to their outstanding universal value,integrity and authenticity.Climate change will exacerbate other stresses including pollution,conflict over resources,urbanization,loss of intangible cultural heritage and the impacts of unplanned tourism.The report's goal is to provide up-to-date information and a basis for action on climate change,besides,it points out efforts can be made to increase visitor's understanding of the significance of the tourism destination they visit,promoting responsible behaviors.This report can be divided into four parts including project introduction,research background,translation difficulties and methods and summary.Guided by dynamic equivalence theory by Eugene Nida,the translator attempts to convey the original message in an equivalent way and try to make the response of the receptor is essentially like that of the original receptors.Various translation methods ranging from literal translation to liberal translation has been adopted to translate naturally.And translation theory and methods applied in this project would provide references for translating texts of this kind.
