Alienation Of Human Nature In Tie Ning's Novels

As a contemporary female writer,Tie Ning's style of writing is multiple.At her middle production,which is start with “Haystacks” and “Rosy Door” till her “Ben Hua” published,Tie Ning put the emphasis on exploring the complexity of human personality and desire.She set characters in survival and spiritual plights,the process and state of human's alienation gradually being unraveled.My thesis consists of three parts.In the first chapter,alienated female characters and their abnormal relationship are analyzed: in Tie Ning's novels,alienated female characters show two main features which are madness and tending to escape;alienated relationship between mothers and daughters or sisters are presented,too.Alienation of individuals can easily lead to alienation of relationship among people,therefore,these relationship are less harmonious and characters are always be indifferent or tense,even show a gradual escalation of the struggle for the dominant position.In the second chapter,alienated male characters and the abnormal relationship between both sexes are analyzed: alienated male characters show two main features which are indecent and pathological;abnormal relationship between both sexes are presented which are always characterized by men wantonly torture women and women suppress men.In the third chapter,the forming conditions of human nature alienation are analyzed:the direct cause of forcing the people to move towards alienation is the objective factor which is formed by the accumulation of a society's culture and the long-term social custom and the special environment of the country;because of different cultural levels and cultivation,physiological age and mental age,the characters' abilities of adapting to the external environment and adjusting their own mentality are different,these subjective factors are the intrinsic factors of human alienation.
