A Report On Simulated E-C Simultaneous Interpreting Of FREUD

This thesis is a simulated E-C simultaneous interpreting report.The material selected for this simulated interpreting is the biographical documentary Freud.The documentary mainly describes Freud's major life experiences and the important stages of his academic career.On the basis of the simultaneous interpreting simulation on Freud,the author makes analysis on the problems that appeared during the interpreting process.The main content of the thesis is comprised of three chapters.In the first chapter,background information and task requirements are introduced;the second chapter is focused on the procedure description of the interpreting simulation,including task preparation,task practice and the evaluation after finishing the task;the third chapter,the core of the thesis,comes up with the reflection on the finished task,which analyzes the problems in the interpreting simulation and puts forward possible solutions to the problems.The solutions for misinterpreting are improving the ability of listening,avoiding subjective interpreting and concentrating on listening the content all the time;the solutions for loss of information are making full corresponding preparations before interpreting and improving the ability to control emotions.It is hoped that this thesis can be used as a reference for the relevant interpreters to conduct interpreting practice on similar materials.
