There is such a hierarchical social structure system in the Spring and Autumn Society,from the emperor,the princes,ta fu,shih to the common people.In this hierarchical social structure system,people above the level of the ta fu master the national core power,and the status of shih compared with other members of their aristocratic class,appears very humble.Who even if can occupy an official position,is also a small official,and free from the core power.They are difficult to participate in high-level decision-making.The common people who are excluded,such as peasant,artisan,vendors,Zao and slave,almost have no political power,and even have no personal freedom.However,these people,who are seemingly low-profile,can rely on a certain opportunity to participate in politics or be involved in political struggle and influence the society during the Spring and Autumn Period for more than three hundred years.And this has become a striking historical phenomenon.The people who are at the bottom of the politics,have the opportunity to participate in politics,and even participate in such political link as the heir,regicide,which has attracted our attention.To the late Spring and Autumn Period,some significant social reforms such as the formation of bureaucracy have happened.We should not ignore the rise of shih and the promotion of the low-ranking people.This paper will be divided into five parts.First of all,the author intends to classify the political characters in the collected materials,their identity will be divided into three categories,such as nearly servant,petty official and the common people.Each category is subdivided into several small classes,which can give the readers a more clear overview on the characters,and make matting for the characteristics of the following political activities。And then the author will expound the ways of the suffragists,they are making recommendations,giving advice,making predictions condemning,making insurrections,revenging,performing assassinations,and the retainer’s rebellions.Each form has its characteristics and functions,the text will make a detailed argument.The third part the author will discuss the reason of the political activities.It will be mainly divided into personal reasons and social reasons,the personal reasons include loyalty,morality and lusts inflation,etc.And will combine materials to argument.About the social reasons,the author would like to use the present research achievements to make a shallow interpretation,the argument will be from the legacy of the democratic tradition remaining from the original period,to objective changes of social environment during the Spring and Autumn Period.In the fourth part,the author will summarize the results of the politicial activities.The results will include personal aspect and social aspect.For suffragists personally,it mainly involves the individual gain and loss,for the society,the results embody in these aspects such as the heir,regicide,rebellion and so on.In the fifth part,the author will discuss the characteristics of these political activities.This part is also a comprehensive discussion of the content above,to give readers a comprehensive cognition about the characteristics of low-ranking’s participation in politics during the Spring and Autumn Period.Finally,the peroration gives a comprehensive summary of each part,to summarize the previous status,ways,reasons and results,and then expounds the social influence and historical significance of the low-ranking’s participation in politics.
