The Culture Status And Countermeasure Study Of Gesar In Durbud Epic Tribe Mgo Log

This paper collects a variety of Gesar related-materials such as Gesar Sang rituals,Gesar amulet,Gesar Sang offering scripture,and Gesar epic rhythm to research Durbud Gesar epic in Mgo Log,and applies multi-research methods from various academic disciplines that includes anthropology,sociology,and epic,to depicts cultural phenomenon of Durbud Gesar Epic,its different forms,uniqueness,value,function,and future promotion.This paper has six chapters.In the preface,it introduces objectives and reasons for selecting this topic,and research status both nationally and internationally,In the first chapter,it mainly describes origin and name of Durbud tribe,and environment where the tribe has been dwelling.In the second chapter,it depicts the Durbud tribe and Dbang shul tshang are the descendant of Smug po ldong,and generations of this tribe perceived themselves as incarnations of Ling Kingdom and the King Gesar is their ancestor.In the third chapter,it describes how they have the belief in Gesar,and its religious awareness,uniqueness,and function.In the fourth chapter,it analyzes treasure revealer,deity-blessed storyteller,Babs sgrung,and Babs sgrung,also compared their publications,the way of storytelling and its rhythm.In the chapter five,it discusses its form of succession issues in the face of rapidly changing society,and simply introduces promotion of their Zang opera and epic rhythm.In the chapter six,it discusses its future promotion,which based on interview conclusions from some Mgo Log Gesar experts,and some recommendations have been made to support the succession of this culture.
