Rhetorical questions are unique and can be classified as a general question but do not require an answer.The researcher sees that Chinese people quite often choose to use Rhetorical questions in the daily life.Rhetorical questions are often used in everyday conversations.For Thai,questions that contains the pronouns:what,how,why,who,and where have features that can be used in rhetorical questions.However,the similarity and differences or rhetorical question forms in both languages(Chinese and Thai)linguistic structure and usage patterns and the factors need to be considered are highly needed to be researched by the researcher to be a part of the guideline for teaching Chinese to foreigners.The researcher conducted a comparative research on television soaps in both countries(China and Thailand)by collecting statistics from the language used in the television soaps to find similarities and differences including conclusions and interesting recommendations that are useful for Chinese language teaching for foreigners.The researcher is very hopeful that this research will contribute to the development of Chinese education for later generations and that it is beneficial to teachers who teach Chinese in Thailand.Additionally,it is expected that Chinese language learners in Thailand will be able to correctly and more effectively use Chinese rhetorical questions.Chinese language teaching for foreigners will also be effectively upgraded.Additionally,it will be a contribution to promote the relationship between China and Thailand.
