Documentary And Fictional-The Research On Yu Dezhuang’s Novels From The Perspective Of The Realism

In the mid-1980 s,thanks to the mighty strike of the Western Modernism and Postmodernism,the Realism saw a fading after its previous thrive.Later,undergoing the so called “turning inside” and the Literary ontology,the Realism is further ignored,or even considered to be out-of-date.In the atmosphere of this age,many writers refuse to dedicate themselves to the workings of realism and some theorists avoid the topic of realism consciously or unconsciously.At the meantime,there exist some writers insisting their artistic idea,who produce vivid realism workings during this historical challenge,which eventually shine within the trend of times.The new age writer——Yu Dezhuang,is some degree an important writer being ignored in this way.Based on the clear concept of realism,this paper takes the realism literature within the current social status and artistic status as its background,forming its “perspective of realism”.This paper describes the writing history of Yu Dezhuang’s realism novels,and furthermore recovers the social meaning and artistic value of realism literature and Yu Dezhuang’s fictions from the two dimensions of Yu’s novels writing: realism value orientation,realism artistic pursuing.The realism value orientation of the novels is clarified in three aspects: the selection of materials,the orientation of themes,the realism spirit.realism artistic pursuing of novels is clarified in four aspects: the plot composing,the character shaping,the language expressing and the writing methodology.In general,Yu’s novels not only express the “reality” of realism novels very well,but also show the artistic attraction of realism literature,which brings the strong realistic meaning and artistic value.At the meantime,it’s worth to see that there still exists some limitation of Yu’s novels: from the perspective of realism,Yu’s novels develop their “reality” as realism workings very well but fail to express the transcendence sufficiently;from the perspective of idealism literature,realism literature has its internal limitation in the fields of expressing the richness,diversity and complexity of real life.Taking the current social status and artistic status as its background,by discussing the writing of Yu Dezhuang’s novels,this paper can not only recognize the the value and meaning of realism literature and Yu’s novels,but also bring out some positive enlightenment during the rational cognizing of the relation between the literature and reality.
