Dunhuang is a very important city in our history with a center of economic and cultural exchanges.Dunhuang Grottoes is a treasure of Buddhist art in China,the forty five thousand square kilometres frescoes constitute the corridor of ancient Chinese painting.Among them,Dunhuang fresco was the unique origine of Chinese Buddhist paintings.During Tang Dynasty,the paintings were huge and exquisite with contents reflected Buddhist doctrine and daily life.They are not only the documentation of Chinese music and dance,but also the basis for exploring the creation of Chinese painting and dancing which provide an important reference for the creation of contemporary dancing figure painting.Through investigation in this field,the author uses the literature research method,the image analysis method and the comparative research method to analyze and summarize the figure of the tattoo in different periods of Tang Dynasty and summarize the style of the dancers in the early,the prosperous,the middle and the late Tang Dynasty and the artistic characteristics of the headdress,the color of dress and so on,and then explore the performance of the rudge image and the grasping style of the dancers' dynamic modeling,which is of great significance to the modern dance figure painting.
