On June 5,2015,by Premier Li Keqiang's authorization,the State Council approved The Revitalization and Development Planning of the Old Revolutionary Base Areas of Dabie Mountain,which is of great significance for playing the comparative advantages of revolutionary areas,shaking off poverty and backwardness as soon as possible and accelerating the development of the central region.The revolutionary basis areas cover Hubei province,Henan province and Anhui province,which made a great contribution and sacrifice to the victory of revolution and the establishment of New China.It is an important revolutionary base in China.Therefore,our country vigorously supports the economy of the area,pays attention to its revitalization and development and put forward relevant reform and economic policies,which can promote the progress of construction of moderately prosperous society in all respects.The old revolutionary base areas of Dabie Mountain is also the author's hometown,so the author choose this text and excerpt some chapters to translate,which aims to spread and develop Dabie Mountain culture,discuss the translation methods and strategies,and provide some reference for the same type of translation practice.After retrieval,there is no English version of the text.This translation practice is guided by Hu Gengshen's eco-translatology theory and the first seven chapters of the text are selected.This paper analyzes the regional characteristics,and proposes advises and measures in combination with guiding ideology and basic principles for the construction of space arrangement,agriculture,tourism,modern service industry,urban and rural areas and infrastructure.This translation practice will focus on three dimensions of eco-translatology: linguistic dimension,communicative dimension and cultural dimension.Combining with translation methods,such as literal translation,free translation,literal translation with annotation addition and omission,the translation practice strives to convey the information of original text.This translation practice report consists of five parts.The first part is a description of the translation task,concerning the origin of the translation material,the author and the work.The second part is the theoretical guidance of translation practice,which elaborates this theory applied in this translation report.The third part is the description of the translation process,which will analyze the translation of vocabulary,sentence and discourse from three dimensions in eco-translatology.The fourth part is about the translation methods applied in the translation,and summarizes difficult points and problems encountered in the translation from the dimensions of vocabulary,syntax and culture.The fifth part is a summary,talking about the experience,lessons and problems to be solved in the future translation study.The last part of this thesis consists of two appendices,including the original and the translated texts.
