Chinese alcoholic culture has passed down hundreds and thousands of years and this culture boosts the diversity of drinking utensils.Performing the function as a carrier,and also a symbol of alcoholic culture,drinking utensils fully reflect Chinese Nation's alcoholic history and drinking customs.Due to the unique designs,exquisite craftsmanship,and other outstanding features,Liao Dynasty wine cups plays a crucial role in Chinese alcoholic history.Its diversity develops an accurate portrayal of prosperous social life in Liao Dynasty and also offers precious research documents in the field of Liao politics,economy,culture and social customs.Based on probe into the real drinking utensils and relating contents in the fresco,this thesis is to make a systematic analysis and research.It can be divided into five parts.The first part mainly introduces the intentions and significances to select this subject,states current research achievements,and defines research object and methods.The second part presents the systematic collection and sorting of related documents and literature reference.The three part analyzes the materials on drinking utensils back in Liao.The next part analyzes and illustrates the category and evolution on drinking utensils back in Liao.Finally,it discusses the social life and cultural communication reflected by drinking utensils.
