With the development of national productive forces and the enhancement of comprehensive national strength,the level of urbanization in China has gradually entered into a modern level.Urbanization determines the overall trends of population migration,the most obvious among which are the natural increasing of urban population,the transformation from agricultural population to urban population and the immigration of the population into large cities.The first result of urbanization is an increase of urban population.Which,as a result of the passage of time,accompanied by the aging of urban population.Accelerating development of the aging of urban population formed by the elderly into the city of social migration phenomenon,that presents the city a silver wave of social landscape.A group which need to pay particular attention to has been formed,the elderlies moved into urban areas.Any elderlies will participate in interpersonal communication and social activities more or less.Furthermore,in order to adapt to the life or work environment in the city,they should change not only their lifestyle,ideas,social psychology and other aspects of re-socialization,but also the language they use,mainly on the learning and use of national common language-Mandarin,with a view to the appropriate integration into the language of the new social life environment.Of course,urbanization has brought fruitful results.But it has also left a moment difficult to solve many problems,including the language of the elderlies moved into city.In this thesis,the urbanization process and the phenomenon of aging of observation and thinking,combined with sociolinguistic speech community and other theories,and the use of urban language survey methods to explore two elderly people in the city of language use,and lists the common society the influence of variables on the status of elderlies in mandarin and the differences in their manifestations.This thesis mainly includes the following chapters:The first chapter is the preface.Including the definition of the elderlies,the relevant sociolinguistics and urban language life research summary and the theoretical basis of this writing,the subject of the source and the significance of topics,and the questionnaire on the design and practical investigation of the relevant information.The second chapter is a survey of the language identity of the elderlies moved into the city,mainly through the survey of the language attitudes and language expectations of elderlies,and an analysis of social factors affecting the language attitude of the elderlies moved into the city.Chapter three is an objective description of the basic situation of the language use of the elderlies in the city,including the change of Mandarin before and after they entering the city,the problem of language transcoding in verbal communication,the appellation problems in the change of communicative strategies,analysis.This chapter is the focus of this paper.The fourth chapter is a survey of Mandarin learning among the elderly in the city,which includes the ways of the elderlies learning Mandarin and the attitudes towards their own Mandarin training.Finally is the conclusions and shortcomings of this thesis.First,I make a summary of the language situation of the elderlies in the city,and put forward some suggestions and suggestions on language service,language policy and city language planning.Second,on the advantages and limitations of this thesis,the main shortcomings of the limitations of the selected survey points,the selection of respondents is not comprehensive enough.
