Swear words,a special form of language,which is mostly active in people's verbal language,is an indispensable part of the people's daily life language.It can not only reflect a country,a nation's ideology,but also reflect the different cultural characteristics of ethnic groups and different social groups.All ethnic groups have rich vocabulary in swear words,and the common cognitive that they have on the swear words mainly reflect on the expression of curse in the emotional sense.Because of the influence on different religious belief,living environment,national psychology and other factors,different ethnic groups have different perceptions about the content and meaning of curse.Swear words are good references for us to study on different national beliefs,cultural psychology and aesthetic point of view.Vocabulary of swear words in Chinese and Uyghur language have the same and different meaning,so it is essential for the translation work to understand the cultural differences in Chinese and Uyghur swear words,especially attach great importance to translation skills,for which is a good tool for translating swear word."Dream of Red Mansions" contains a riot of swear words,however,the research on Uyghur translation of swear words of the book is rare.The author will focus on collection and analysis both Uyghur translation methods and effect of expression of swear words in "Dream of Red Mansions",and attempt to explore the vocabulary of swear words and translation methods from Chinese to Uyghur of “Dream of Red Mansions” by taking Uyghur language translation of Xinjiang People's Publishing House in 1975 as an example.The text of this article consists of the preface,the first to the fifth chapter and the conclusion.The first chapter briefly outlines the definition and classification of the swear words.The second chapter analyzes the translation principles and strategies adopted by the translator to achieve the effect of translation and transfer culture,and discuss the translation methods of swear words in Chinese and Uyghur language which were divided into six categories in this paper: literal translation,free translation,additional translation,omitting translation,loan translation and replacement.The third chapter discusses the cultural psychology of Chinese and Uyghur culture in the translation of swears words.The author tries to analyze differences on Piety Culture,sense of hierarchy,the concept of materialization and curse,the concept of male superiority and inferiority,preference for supple and introverted aesthetic psychology between the Chinese and Uyghur nationalities by contrasting the translation of swear words in Chinese and Uyghur language.The fourth chapter tries to analyze the existing problems of translation swear words from Chinese to Uyghur: the perspectives of the understanding and expression of cultural translation,the transmission of cultural information and the complete expression of content.This chapter makes detailed description and analysis of swear words and their translations in “Dream of Red Mansions”,retrospect the Uyghur ethnic aesthetic which is reflected in the Uyghur swear words,reveal the implied cultural connotation,and discuss the translatability and untranslatability of the translation of swear words in Chinese and Uyghur language.In the fifth chapter,the author puts forward some suggestions on the translation of swear words in Chinese and Uyghur language,and propound to pay attention to cultural differences and precise cultural substitution,and use free translation and omitting translation appropriately;cling to the characteristics of characters,highlight the purpose of swearing and so on.In the conclusion,The author draws a conclusion that cultural diversity has a certain effect on the culture exchange in translation by comparing the differences between Chinese culture and Uyghur's and analyzing the translation practice of "Dream of Red Mansions".
