Primary school students are in the early stages of individual growth and development and the development of various quality structure.At the same time,the benign development and change have a vital influence on their later life study activities.Therefore,this paper selects primary school students as the research object.They have many needs both physically and psychologically,According to Erickson's eight stages theory of personality development.this time they are in their childhood(6-12 years old)facing the conflict between diligence and inferiority,If the crisis is resolved successfully,it will form the ability of virtue.For the students,they will be more of this demand reflected in the individual motivation,A good level of learning motivation has a great effect on the acquisition and mastery of all kinds of skills and abilities.At the same time,this stage is used to evaluate the ability of students to reflect a very typical and important indicators of academic performance.Therefore,the main purpose of this paper is to explore the basic situation of primary school students' personality traits,learning motivation and academic achievement;The demographic distribution and differences and combination of the three further study the pupils personality dimensions and academic achievement,learning motivation and academic achievement,the relationship between personality traits and the dimensions of learning motivation and the three.In this study,using the Eysenck Personality Questionnaire(children's version)and learning motivation diagnostic test as a measuring tool,a primary school student in Luo yang was taken as an example,three grades,9 classes,a total of 283 pupils,Based on multivariate analysis of variance and correlation analysis,the following conclusions are obtained:(a)Overall,primary school students' personality traits are relatively stable,there is no significant difference in gender or grade distribution of demographic variables.(b)First of all,there is no significant difference between boys and girls in the three dimensions of extraversion,neuroticism and psychoticism.Secondly,in addition to grade four and grade six,there are significant differences in extraversion dimension,but there is no significant difference in other dimensions.(c)there are significant differences in primary school students' learning motivation in grade variable and gender variable;There is a significant difference in the achievement motivation between male and female students on the factor of gender;There were no significant differences in other dimensions of learning motivation.(d)there are significant differences in the distribution of gender and grade of primary school students' academic achievement;In terms of gender,there are significant differences between boys and girls in academic achievement,and the academic performance of female students is better than that of boys;There are significant differences between grade four and grade six,grade four and grade five,and there is no significant difference in other grades.(e)four subscales of the dimensions of motivation and their academic achievement correlation statistical analysis showed that the pupils' academic achievement and learning motivation only own conscientiousness was positively related to students' learning.learning motivation is higher,academic performance is also better.(f)there is a significant positive correlation between personality trait neuroticism and academic achievement in the study of the correlation between academic achievement and personality traits.
