Underground and The Place That Was Promised are non-fictional textswritten by the Japanese writer Haruki Murakami, for the Tokyo subway sarin gasevents in 1995,caused by Aum Shinrikyo.Murakami has interviewed the victims of the incident and the perpetratorsof both sides respectively,a total of 70,with their separate dialogue, breaking therigid pattern——the side of the "victims = innocent = good" against the oppositeside "victimizers = filthy = evil" ——restored one of the many vague andnumerous victims.Compared with the Japanese press in 1995,the current media environmentof public opinion can be said to be more chaotic and complicated.Mass mediatrack fleeting news hotspots, amplify public opinion sentiment in social media, which made simplified narrative, modeled reports becoming more popular.Unlike traditional coverage of the incident by mass media,Murakami weretaking the victim's own way of telling herself ——autobiographical lifestories——from the birth in family to the hometown and childhood, from schoolcareer to mentality in the growth, and then go to work, get married and havechildren,And finally to unexpectedly encounter the catastrophe...As shown inthe books, the respondents' personalities are real and their faces are original.Specific to this study, through the stripping of the two texts, the story isdivided into layers, and its multiple perspectives are found out,so as to find outthe narrative personal pronouns(Chapter 2).Chapter 3 is an introduction toMurakami's narrative intentions and narrative preparations, which is about thedetails of the interview.Chapter 4 is a research about the narrative time andnarrative space of non-fictional texts, and a list of the narrative features of theirauthenticity, vividness and affinities. In Chapter 5,through detailed descriptionof "autobiographical life stories" narrative structure and the interpret of itstheoretical sources, the specific story structure and discourse structure are besummarized. The communication theory of life stories in western is the background ofthis thesis. In this paper, the concept "autobiographical life stories" is taken as aindependent narrative structure to study Murakami Haruki's non-fictional texts, which has a certain theoretical and practical significance.
