The Excavation And Study On Anhui Feixi Luandunzi Tombs

Feixi County has a long history and advanced civilization.The conclusion was drawn on the basis of the data from China's first cultural relics census,which was held in1986.There are more than 600 cultural relic sites in Feixi County,which include 208 ancient cultural ruins,199 ancient tombs,136 ancient and historical-memorial buildings,23 sites of revolutionary bases,43 other relics and so on,involved in an extended span of time about 5000 years.There were 43 units of cultural relic protection and more than 500 cultural relics in museum in Feixi County.Tombs of Luandunzi are located in Feixi County.The period spans from the Warring States period to the Song Dynasty,but the majority of them are Han tombs.The significance of Luandunzi Tombs excavation is providing a wealth of material for Feixi County historical,local political and social economy research.The thesis can be divided into three parts:preface,text and conclusion.Based on investigation in the spot,the first part describes the process of Luandunzi tombs excavation.According to archaeological excavation data,I classified all tombs by using the shape of tombs and the type of unearthed relics as two standards.In the next part,using the method of archaeological typology,the thesis preliminary categorized the funerary objects which were excavated from Luandunzi Tombs.The funerary objects can be divided into three categories,bronze vessels,jades and potteries.The tombs last with long time span,cover large area and hold enormous excavate tombs and funerary objects,so I selected the most representative ones to describe.At last,I mainly explore the two subjects on tombs,relevant to funerary sculptures and potteries combination,especially expounding the background of making funerary sculptures and the shape and aesthetic characteristics of funerary sculptures.
