A Report On Simulated E-C Simultaneous Interpreting Practice Of Theresa May's Speech On Conservative Annual Conference In 2016

In modern times,as the process of the globalization is deepening.,the exchanges among different countries in economy,politics and culture are increasing with each passing day.With the China's deepening reform,opening up and the entry into WTO,China has a closer communication and cooperation with other countries.Therefore,the importance of translation and interpreting is increasingly more obvious.The author chose Theresa May's Brexit Speech to Conservative Conference in 2016 as the material for simultaneous interpreting(SI)practice.By analyzing pre-interpretation preparation,the process of SI practice and reflecting on the problems,I hope this report can serve as lessons for other interpreters.This report consists of three parts: task description,the Process of the SI Practice and case analysis.The first chapter focuses on the description of background,task contents and target audience.The second chapter is mainly about the process of SI practice,including the pre-interpretation preparation,SI operations and post-interpreting evaluation.The third chapter is case analysis,including the application of the SI strategies,problems and countermeasures.In conclusion part,the author summaries the overall situation of SI practice and the lessons for other interpreters.
