The Study Of Wang Yucheng's Mentality Of Official Seclusion

Wang Yucheng was a famous writer at the beginning of Song Dynasty.He was the pioneer of the Northern Song Dynasty poetic reform movement,and his article was called "unique contemporary".What's more,he was a famous officer of Song Dynasty.He was brave enough to direct remonstrance,although the case of eight years of deposing.In his official career,Wang accepted the thought of "official seclusion" in Tang Dynasty,took actively participate in the real life of official seclusion,thus forming a unique personal characteristics of the mentality of official seclusion.Therefore,this article will use his life experience and poems as a clue to sort out his state of mind,analyze and summarize the spiritual essence of Wang's official seclusion,expecting a new perspective on Wang's life.The full text mainly consists of three parts: introduction,text and conclusion.Being the content of the first part,the introduction mainly summarizes the research status of Wang.And it also expounds the purpose and significance of this study.The second part which is the main body of this article is composed of three chapters.The first chapter mainly investigates the ideological origin and the historical background of the formation of Wang's mind.First of all,the origin of official seclusion is analyzed and official seclusion presents a new look in the Northern Song Dynasty.Secondly,the living conditions of the scholars are presented by summarizing the political and cultural environment of the Song Dynasty.The reasons why official seclusion is flourishing are summarized from four aspects.The second chapter sums up the evolution and spiritual essence of his mentality of official seclusion.First the subjective factors why he chose official seclusion in the case of demotion are analyzed.After being demoted to Shangzhou,his mind changed which to be latent in the early and to be self-consolation in the late stage.At last it comes to a conclusion that he had a balanced spirit between "helping the whole country" and "being good by oneself" from the discussion of his concept of official seclusion.The third chapter shows the concrete manifestation of Wang's life from the perspective of "official" and "seclusion"."Official" is manifested the adherence and practice of Confucian scholar's mission to serve for the country."Seclusion" was theexternal performance of the release of sadness and sorrow in his demotion career,so as to obtain the spiritual comfort and the realization of poetic life.The last part of the text is the conclusion.It summarizes his life experience and spiritual value which present from his psychology of official seclusion.What's more,it also describes the influence on the later scholar.
