On The Acceptance And Dissemination Of CEN Shen And His Poems In The Tang Dynasty

Cen shen is one of the representatives of the frontier-style poem in flourishing period of Tang Dynasty.His poetry is the tidemark of "the glorious age of tang poetry",which concentratedly displays the time spirit of the Tang Dynasty.Since Cen shen's poetry occupies an important place in the history of poetry,it receives much concern from the very beginning and researches on the acceptance and dissemination of his poetry subsequently carried out.This article mainly expounds from three angles,including the mode of transmission of Cen shen and his poems,acceptance and dissemination of Cen shen and his poems among literati in flourishing period,the middle and late periods of the Tang Dynasty.By applying the related communication theories,the article teases out the available data horizontally and vertically to research on the changes of literature view in Tang Dynasty and further on the situation of acceptance and dissemination of Cen shen's poetry.There are two main modes of transmission for Cen shen's poetry.One is the mainstream media transmission,including word of mouth,wall inscriptions and manuscripts.The other way of transmission is making friends and exchanging poem.The contemporaries' acceptance and dissemination of Cen shen's poetry presents different characteristics in flourishing period,the middle and late periods of the Tang Dynasty,mainly reflected in the affirmation of "frontier poet" identity and acceptance of his poetry style and dissemination,etc.Through the research on acceptance and dissemination of Cen shen and his poems in the Tang Dynasty and using a new perspective of communication studies,we clarify the evolution of the poetry development origin in flourishing period,the middle and late periods of the Tang Dynasty,and then discuss the social causes of writing style changes at that time.
