The pronunciation,vocabulary,grammar of the Chinese language in the middle ancient times has changed a lot.It not only inherited and developed the Chinese language in the remote ancient times,but also opened up the source of modern times.The characteristics of the Chinese language in the northern and southern dynasties typically represents the characteristics of middle Chinese.Three representative literature in the southern and Northern Dynasties are selected as the object in this paper to study the development and evolution of the time prepositions.This paper is composed of introduction and three chapters:The introduction includes the reason and significance of the topic,the review of the study about this topic,the methods and ideas of the study and the source of this topic,interpretation of the difference in prepositions and verbs,the classification of the time prepositions,and putting forward the basis and methods of analysis about double syllable words.The first chapter exhaustively investigate the time prepositions in Qi Min Yao Shu,Shi Shuo Xin Yu and Zhou Shi Ming Tong Ji,mainly according to the classification in the introduction to describe,and analysis their composition to introduce and the structure of prepositions,and indicate which inherited from the remote ancient times,which is emerging in modern times,and briefly analyses the development process since remote ancient times.The second chapter discusses two issues.The first issue is the source of time prepositions,that this part not only analyses the evolution and mechanism of the emerging time prepositions,but also expounds the sources and evolution mechanism of several time prepositions which previous studies relates to less.The first issue is mainly from the meaning of space and the meaning of the non-space to discuss.Thesecond issue compares the time prepositions in Qi Min Yao Shu,Shi Shuo Xin Yu and Zhou Shi Ming Tong Ji with them in the five literature that are representative in remote ancient times.According to these to analyze the changes of composition to introduce and the structure of prepositions from the remote ancient times to the northern and southern dynasties.The third chapter is conclusion that summaries the conclusion of this paper.
