New words learning plays an important role in the development of children's reading ability.Repeated reading and sentence context are beneficial to the acquisition of new vocabulary.Previous researchers have done a lot of empirical research.But there is little research on the separation of context and repeated reading.Therefore,in this study,three kinds of learning conditions are used to explore the role and mechanism of repeated reading and context in vocabulary recognition.In this study,46 pupils were selected as subjects,and the eye tracker was used as a tool to explore the effects of repeated reading in different contexts on new words learning.The study is divided into two stages:the learning stage and the test stage.The learner needs to read the sentences carefully.At the same time,the eye movement index was recorded.The test consists of two parts:behavioral experiment and eye movement experiment.Behavioral experiments used E-prime software,which record the correct rate and reaction time.Subjects were asked to choose the type of words.Eye movement experiment is to allow the subjects to read the sentence,while recording the eye movement index.We adopted 2(experimental stages:learning phase and testing phase)x 3(context:multiple context repetition,single sentence,repetition of single context)experimental design,to explore the repeated reading and context in different stages and word recognition function.Conclusions of this study are as follows:(1)In the process of children's sentence reading,there exist new words learning effect.On the whole,the fixation time in the test phase was shorter than that in the learning stage,indicating that there exists an experimental stage effect.(2)The fixation time of single context repetition is shorter than that of single sentence with no repetition.That is to say,the fixation duration become shorter as the repetition time increases.The result suggest that it exists repetition reading effects during reading.(3)The fixation time of multiple context repetition is shorter than that of single context.That is to say,the richness of context has a greater effect on the acquisition of new vocabulary,and the learning effect is better.
