An Investigation Of Chinese Teaching And Promotion At Confucius Institute At Autonomous University Of Yucan

At present,many countries around the world have established amount of overseas confucius institutes.Those Confucius institutes rooted in abroad should take into account the differences between local culture and other factors.According to the researches carried out in different countries and regions,they could adapt to the development of the current status of Chinese teaching and promotion requirements,thus they could conducive to the sustainable development of Chinese teaching in international promotion.Chinese teaching and promotion in Mexico is mainly driven by the five confucius institutes.By analyzing Confucius Institute at Autonomous University of Yucatan(in short,IC-UADY),who is a non-profit organization;the students mainly are young people,and their motivation of learning Chinese is for their future work and study;the number of Chinese language teacher in IC-UADY is increasing,but teachers are imbalance between men and women;as the opinion to the textbooks,the students basically satisfied with the textbooks,while the teenagers have many dislikes to the textbook;to the curriculum and teaching situation,with the study of learning year by year,the number of students who rely on the use of mother tongue in Chinese teaching is reducing;the Chinese language teachers could not meet the needs of the increasing number of students.This paper introduces the manner of Chinese teaching and promotion for Confucius Institute at Yucatan Autonomous University,such as organizing HSK(the examination of Chinese level),celebrating the cultural activities and the promotion of mainstream media and so on.From the aspects of students,teachers and teaching materials,this paper points out the factors that are unfavorable to the development of Chinese teaching and popularization,and puts forward some suggestions.
