Pre-Qin and Han Dynasties known as a significant time of the embryo and development of the Chinese traditional literary styles,in which period many momentous forms had come into being in a process that not aware or self-conscious.“Classic laid the foundation stone for the mass text forms” is an essential standpoint to trace the roots of the literary forms due to that Han Dynasties was the era of Confucian classics.The Five Classics and its exegesis are the origins of kinds of the literary forms.As Liu Shipei has pointed out,“Modern alticles comes from the Six Classics and various schools of the thoughts”,the studying of biography style in recent years focus on the its role in the historical biography and biologies rather than being regarded as a critical component of the ancient documents' notes and commentaries.The inpretations to the classics propel the literary forms forward.“Zhuan” is a kind of commentary on the “Classics”,existing with other forms of exegesis such as Annotation and Chapters.However,owing to its own particularity and complicacy,the biography made its site stand out from the rest exegesis forms gradually and strengthened from the narrative novels to the classics and commentaries,and eventually became the vital form in the Chinese ancient proses.The paper aim to study the biography during the period of Pre-Qin and Han Dynasties and elaborate the definition and form of the “Zhuan”,and then carry out a contrastive study between the biography and other representative forms of exegesis,and finally conclude the process that classics and commentaries separate itself from the Classics integrating with concrate texts.The author wants to obtain some hints that the biography has in the whole process of emerging,developing and evolving during this period.
