The Change Of Black And White And The Creation Practice Of Woodcut Space With Knife Marks

Black-and-white treatment and knife organization is a part of the woodcut art language,but also to convey the feeling of painting space of the visual coding.For the woodcut creation,the way of presenting the picture space has been undergoing innovation and changes.Artists constantly break the visual conventions and seek various forms of expression that are individualized,surrealistic space,contradiction space and so on have become the load of black and white processing and knife method.This paper discusses the Woodcut space created by black and white treatment and knife technique,based on my woodcut creation practice and understanding.The first chapter is the introduction,taking the painting space as the research background,putting forward the problems,significance and related research progress about the space in woodcut creation.The second chapter is based on the black-and-white treatment of woodcut creation,from the borrowing of light and shadow and inherent color and the treatment of "White and Black",discusses the influence of black-and-white color value,contrast and conversion on painting space.In the Third Chapter,the author discusses the effect of Knife Organization on Painting Space,and lists the black-and-white woodcut works of Pankoke and Tuertuoke,based on the treatment of points and lines in woodcut practice.The Fourth Chapter explains the thinking,language and form of graduation creation,summarizes my exploration of woodcut space in different stages,and carries on the subjective reconstruction of Woodcut space by the combination of black-and-white treatment and knife method.
