Application And Exploration Of Water Color In Woodcut Engraving Creation

This article takes the combination of watercolor and woodcut as the main research object.Through literature review,it studies and sorts out the existing comprehensive materials and practical cases of cross-professional combination at home and abroad,which provides theoretical support for the follow-up research of this article.At the same time,it draws experience from the author’s own practical creation to do a typical analysis,summarizes and reflects on the existing problems in the creation,and predicts and improves the skills that will be encountered in the future creation.This article creatively proposes an attempt to combine the two types of paintings in the creation.Taking self-creation as an example,it is divided into four chapters to apply and study the technique of combining woodcut and watercolor.First of all,this article analyzes the background and significance of the topic selection of the cross-professional combination of printmaking and watercolor,the research status at home and abroad,research methods and content.After the creation theme is established as the glacial ocean current,the theme is selected and the technique is considered to fit the theme,and the creation idea of combining mimeograph woodcut and concrete watercolor technique is established.The first chapter,from the analysis of the creative language of the reference artist,learns and draws on the master’s watercolor techniques,consults the experience of various cross-professional artists in practice and the expression of aesthetic thoughts in the pursuit of trace beauty,which will lay a solid foundation for subsequent creations.basis.Chapter Two,this section explains the theoretical basis from two perspectives.First,it analyzes the contingency and inevitability of the two types of paintings in detail.Secondly,it compares and analyzes the differences between woodblock and watercolor paintings and the commonality of expression techniques,and then proceed from the outside to the inside.Drawing experiment and practical demonstration.Comparing the creation methods of wood engraving and watercolor painting by analogy,expound the practical feasibility of applying concrete watercolor technique in wood engraving.The third chapter is the focus of this article.Taking my own creative experience as an example,it analyzes in detail the technical attempts used in the creation,the problems encountered and the solutions,taking the creative practice process as an example,and further discusses the combination of cross-professional skills Development and promotion of mimeograph woodcut.The fourth chapter summarizes the problems faced in the creative process,reflects on the effectiveness and plans future creative ideas and development.
