| Originated in the United States,Graphic novel is a kind of natural product with the evolvement of the time.In the early time,it just viewed as the theme comic composing of some kinds of successive cartoons like comic-books which are very simple and satirical.And now,it is called severe adult reading used to tell us philosophic stories by images.It is known to all,people always believe the images are very direct and vivid.Compared with some abstruse papers,the Graphic novel can make sure all readers understand itself directly in a way of combining images and words.They can exactly meet readers all kinds of requirements especially in thought together with vision.That is the reason why the images are called vision literature with its distinct features.Maus,the only one won the Pulitzer prizes,has an extremely high referential value in literature and art.As it was known differently at home and abroad,this article is divided into two chapters of the Graphic novel Maus to study its general situation and language:firstly,the Graphic novel elaborates the general situation of the related Maus,including the content of the Graphic novel and compare to other types of publication,by introducing the author of Maus,writing background and content,which will confirm that Graphic novel is derived from cartoon but higher than that.Maus is an excellent representation for Graphic novel.Secondly,sorting and analyzing the performance of the Maus language,including literature language and picture language.On literary language to explore,narrative perspective and characters on the picture language,the change of real animal shape,picture of the lens and image style to explore.By the two parts,which affirms the results of the Maus artistic value again and hopes the Graphic novel to be new hotspot,obtain high attention,eventually adapt to great mass fervour of the "era of picture-reading". |
