A Study On Euphemism Teaching In Teaching Chinese As A Foreign Language

Euphemism has been long ago scholar’s attention and research at home and abroad,and have achieved fruitful research results.Chinese euphemism has a distinctive cultural features,an integral role in interpersonal communication,but the euphemism in teaching Chinese as a foreign language is still didn’t get enough attention,and specific research also needs to be further.In reference on the basis of existing research results,this paper introduced the definition and classification of euphemism and distinguish the euphemism and taboo words,euphemism and Jing Qian language similarities and differences.Through interview and questionnaire approach focuses on combing the euphemism in teaching Chinese as a foreign language teaching situation and the significance of the acquisition of euphemism,the situation of foreign students learn euphemism etc.Problems mainly include the euphemism teaching in teaching Chinese as a foreign language not enough attention,part of euphemism teaching Chinese as a foreign language is not enough attention,class of little or even ignore the interpretation of euphemism,euphemism of complexity and implicitness became the learner’s resistance;The degree of the stimulation of learners’ vocabulary,condition not enough understanding of the euphemism,pragmatic functions of euphemism expression is not clear.According to the problems,the author puts forward the following Suggestions: teachers,should improve their consciousness of euphemism teaching,the combination of language teaching and culture teaching in the classroom to increase practice for euphemism,more students in the process of acquisition errors and to develop a suitable for their way of learning;Learners should cultivate the habit of consciously learning,accumulate knowledge,actively summarize the cause of the errors and correct them in time,as far as possible to overcome the negative transfer of mother tongue.Finally,this paper take the teaching design of the texts Whether You Need Distance Between Husband and Wife in Conjugal Relations for example,to confirm above euphemism teaching advice.
