| Adhering to the influence of Chinese culture, Chinese is famous for its implicittactfully. Both in the field of social class, the cases of using euphemism is very prevalent.It plays a “lubricant†role in coordinating interpersonal relationship. It is inevitable forstudents to use the euphemism in order to successfully complete a communication. So inteaching Chinese as a foreign language, targeted on euphemism teaching is verynecessary. However, the fuzziness of euphemism for teachers brings considerabledifficulties in teaching. Meanwhile, it is also the urgent task for the overseas researcherspay more attention to and solve.This thesis bases on the communicative linguistics, intercultural communication, thesecond language acquisition, teaching chinese as a foreign language and statisticalscience theory. Meanwhile, it combines sociology, pedagogy and folklore theory. First ofall, this thesis introduces the domestic scholars on the definition of euphemism.combined with the definition, the author puts forward her own definition of euphemism,and analyzes the four characteristics of euphemism and the four social communicativefunctions of euphemism. Secondly, this thesis analyses the euphemism teaching Chineseas a foreign language. Thirdly, through the way of questionnaire survey, it understandsthe foreign students mastery of Chinese euphemisms and analyzes the cause of the errors.Based on the survey results of the third chapter puts forward some shallow Suggestionson euphemism teaching in the teaching method.This thesis’s innovations lie in using the methods of questionnaire survey, to learneuphemism to understand and master the situation of students, so as to provide a basis forthe research of euphemism teaching method. This paper pays attention to combining thetheory with practice, with the hope of providing reference to the euphemism in teachingChinese as a foreign language basis to make the students master the necessaryeuphemism and to learn an authentic Chinese for successful intercultural communication. |
