Electronic map is a visual representation of corresponding digital map on the screen.At home and abroad there have appeared many new types of electronic maps in recent years.With continuous development of electronic information technology,electronic maps as one of education tools have got more and more people's attentions.Children's electronic maps are products of the progress of science and technology and the development of modern cartography.it is also an important medium for children to acquire geospatial knowledge,and a source to cultivate children's imagination,abstract ability,logical thinking ability and cognitive tools effectively,must set interest and knowledge as a whole.Obviously,the users of children's electronic maps are children;so this kind of maps is neither a pure form of electronic maps,nor it is completely digital pictures or entertainment animation form.On the contrary,it is a tool that can turn abstract thinking into a specific image.Because children's cognitive ability is limited,traditional lines,colors,monotonous abstract map symbols directly used in the electronic map production will bring these readers difficulties in cognition.Therefore,I have researched the problem,specific work mainly includes the following aspects:(1)Based on the summary of the existing children's maps,with 5 to 6 years old children as the research objects,this paper firstly took into considerationnsidered children's psychology related theories and analyzed children's cognitive characteristics under the influence of cognitive psychology and cognitive behavioral responses;(2)Introduces the research results into children maps' design,on the premise of children's cognitive and settings,from the content of the map symbol design,function and design principle of a few aspects of analysis,put forward appropriate for the age characteristics of children's cognitive theory and method of electronic map design;(3)Use a case study of Shanghai Disneyland,made a set of 5 to 6 years old children to read oriented electronic map;(4)And from the children of the discriminant accuracy of map symbol and satisfaction,for the design work,the evaluation of the cognitive tests and the experimental results show that this design of children's electronic map in line with children's psychological cognitive development rule and appreciate the level,has the high degree of satisfaction.
