Perspective taking refers to distinguish between one's own views and others, which divided into spatial perspective taking and social perspective taking. The development of this ability is very important for the social life and the interpersonal adaptation.Besides, motor imagery is 'map in the brain',which can be divided into internal motor imagery and external motor imagery.Furthermore, childhood is a critical period of executive function, motor imagery ability, and perspective taking.Previous studies have only studied the relationship between executive function and perspective taking as well as motor imagery and perspective taking. However there are less studies that focus on the relationship of the three factor. In this study, children between the ages of 7 and 9 were tested(N=150),7 years old(M = 6.67 years old,SD = ± 0.11),8 years old(M = 7.50 years old,SD =± 0.13)and 9 years old(M = 8.41 years old,SD = ± 0.12)to study the development of motor imagery, executive function and perspective-taking.In addition,we explore the influence of motor imagery and executive function to perspective taking. The results show that:(1)Verbal working memory is developing rapidly at 7-8 years old, while spatial working memory develops rapidly during the ages of 8-9.(2)The internal movement of children aged 7-9 years has developed very well and has grown with age,and external athletic ability is not Get a good development,in the 8-9 years old with age and growth.(3)Spatial perspective taking pick up rapidly in the age of 7-9 years, verbal working memory correlated with cognitive perspective taking, but not affection perspective taking.Conclusions:(1)Age-related improvements in perspective taking and external motor imagery are mediated by changes in executive function, and the motor imagery can explain the growth of the perspective taking.(2)According to the structural equation model,we can see that the executive function affects the spatial perspective taking through the motor imagery, and working memory component play a important role.
