The Ethical Of Lu Xun's "Children Standard"

During the May 4th Period,the junior were discovered as an independent group as the result of the progress of the New Culture Movement and the spread of Western evolutionism.The "Junior Standard",therefore,became the focus of many scholars in the May 4th Period.While many scholars in different times talked of caring the junior in terms of human nature,education,literature,etc.,Lu Xun's thinking aims to start with a reform on the ethical order,breaking the old emperor-subject and father-son restrictions,establishing a new senior-junior relationship with the junior being at the center and emphasizing the love the responsibility of the the senior towards the junior.The paper attempts to illustrate the ethical manifestation of the Junior Standard from four layers,which are namely the father-son relationship,mother-son relationship,brotherhood relationship,and social relationship.With the traditional"Senior Standard",as the background,this paper aims to discover the best presentation of senior-junior relationship during the long course of historical development by studying the descriptions of the Junior Standard from four aspects,the junior abandoning the senior and leaving hometown,the junior returning hometown and looking for the mother,the elder brother introspecting himself and the interaction between human and biological nature?The father-son relationship is the most important part of family moral principle.Through the image of "Tough father" and "Silly son" in the "senior oriented" society,Luxun predicted a static future of China.By presenting the "wicked son and abandoned father",the new father emphasis on "guiding",to liberate children to the "youth oriented" moral relationship of father and son.The "wicked son" had gained more independency in the fight for "Refusal to accept his father's will" and "Refusal of being 'abandoned father' of feudal society",and the new father was to liberate the child by "understanding" based guidance and persuasion.Mother-child relationship in the family ethical order status after the father-son relationship,the relationship between mother and child in the context of the feudian order had some indifference,rupture,opposing states,children or lack of maternal love,or maternal folly,or return to the tradition with the mother's discipline.The Mother love children in tolerance,to the asylum of children at the expense of their own choice,which illustrated the love and responsibility of mother in the "youth orientated" mother and child ethics.Moral relationship is mutual,the child appreciate the love and also shoulder the responsibility of support and respect to mother.Brotherhood is an important part in the family ethics.In the traditional society,the ethics that the elder brother is equal to the father gives the brother power that he can succeed his father to look after other children after father passes away.The elder brother's words and deeds that actually pursue benefits while avoid responsibilities often hurt the younger brothers.In Lu Xun's writing,he presented a new brother ethnic order and explored the new possibility about brotherhood by describing the remedial consciousness after the elder brother introspects himself.Not belonging to the clan,the non consanguineous relationship between young and old ages is also a part of the intergenerational ethnics.In the traditional society,when it comes to the relationship between young and old ages,the senior enjoy the absolute authority and for disobedience behavior of young people,they will often besiege the one with the majority.Through paying attention to people's attitudes towards the young animal and the "Junior Standard" relationship in the animal nature,Lu Xun explored the question that the senior how to love in the social relationship between young and old ages.The answer is the rational and courageous love.
