Founded in 1922.Guangzhou Academy of Fine Art was the second national art university in China and the first one in South China.Despite its short history of 17 years,the academy not only promotes the art and fine arts education in Guangzhou,but also sets the foundation of Guangzhou 's modern higher art education at the time.Guangzhou Academy of Fine Art as the research target,this thesis explores the reasons and consequences of the academy 's first and second applications from high school to unniversity.It is separated into 5 parts.The first time part discusses the situation of The Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts,pointing out its improvement of the level of teaching,the suitable condition and the broadened teaching scales for upgrade.The second part analyzes the reasons why Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts was failed at the first time.It is not the fiscal difficulties of government but the shortage of teaching quality and confused management.The third part expounds the situation before the second time application,proving the improvement of teaching level,progress of teaching condition and extensive social influence for the promotion.The fourth part says the reasonable points for the second time application.On the one hand,there are a lot of difficulties and confusion staying at the original level of teaching,on the other hand,it is a great option for the balanced development of academy to upgrade.The final part includes the project and result of the second time application upgrading from a high school to a college.Moreover,the detailed and comprehensive project and the unpredictable result of this change are shown for cautions consideration above making sure it works at this time.
