Chinese tourism achieved a transition from a country with rich tourism resource to world tourism power through 40-year development since the reform and opening-up policy. According to prediction of World Tourism Organization, China will become the first traveling receiving country in 2020. The spread of the international tourism promotion and cultural communication is closely related to translation. This trend provides important opportunity to promote tourism in small cities. Owing to the influence of topography, the development of agriculture and industry is restricted in Badong, while the only way to go is to develop tourism. Wingsuit Flying World Cup was held in Badong, which made Badong has the first experience of hosting big international event and made the name Badong fly away with the wings of wingsuit flying.Excerpts of Explore Mystery in Badong are chosen as target translation material,and this book is a travel guide book introducing Badong in Hubei province. The thesis is divided into five chapters: Chapter one is task description which involves background of the task, introduction to the task and significance of the task. Chapter two is task process,including pre-translation preparation, translation process and post-translation period.Chapter three is theoretical framework, including overview of the Skopos Theory, three principles of the Skopos Theory and guidance of the Skopos Theory on C-E translation of tourism text. Chapter four is case analysis in which specific translation examples are analyzed and studied from the perspective of words, sentences and texts. Chapter five is conclusion, including major findings of the present study, limitations and suggestions.Tourism translation is a kind of cross-language, cross-social, cross-cultural and cross-psychological communicative activity for tourism. The purpose of translation is to make ordinary foreign readers read, understand easily and be delighted to read it so that readers can acquire knowledge concerning nature, geography, culture, custom, etc., to make readers feel the natural scenery and cultural heritage of my hometown through characters, to activate tourists' motivation of tourism,to promote the development of local tourism and strengthen local areas' contact and communication with the outside world.
