A Study On The Equity Thought Of "Anti-duhring"

"Anti-Duhring" is one of Engels' masterpieces.It was written in the nineteenth century,when the bourgeoisie and proletarian contradictions became increasingly intensified.Engels attempted to remove the adverse effect of Duhring's absurd ideas spreading in the German Social Democratic Party,and tried saving the German socialist and democratic movement from Duhring's wrong thought.Engels called his writing "chewing the sour fruit",particularly his criticism of Duhring's thought of equity.It is helpful for us to better understand Engels' criticism by grasping the historical evolution of Engels' thought of equity.Engels criticized Duhring's research method as "universal equity",and propound studying the concepts of equity and justice in a scientific method,that is,he emphasized the realistic and social basis of realizing equity and justice.Furthermore,equality is an important manifestation of equity and justice.In the book,Engels not only profoundly criticized the idea of Duhring,but also comprehensively analyzed historical materialism as the philosophical foundation for discussing equity,equity and justice.Although Engels did not have a direct provision in the book to discuss the idea of equity,but this did not affect our understanding of the implementation of the concept of equity.Through Engels' interpretation of the basic characteristics of equity advocated by Duhring,we may have a deeper understanding of the measurement and implementation of equity on the basis of dialectical historical materialism.Using Engels' method to study equity,we will further discover the objective and dialectic nature of Engels' thinking and the absurdity of Duhring's thinking.Meanwhile,Engels' thought of equity in"anti-Duhring" has important theoretical guidance not only for the socialist movement in Germany then but also the socialist construction in China now.
